PRIVACY ACT 1993 STATEMENT

This application form collects personal information about you. This information is required to access your eligibility as a tenant; and

• Collect information, which would be provided to a tenant default database or credit bureau if you enter into a tenancy agreement and fail to comply with the terms of that agreement. (A tenant default database records the names of people who have been found to breach a tenancy agreement or the Residential Tenancies Act 1986 by the Tenancy Tribunal).
• The information in this tenancy agreement form will, if you enter into a tenancy agreement with us, be held on a database and used by us and by the owner of the rented property.
• The information will also be made available to credit bureau or tenant default databases.
• If you do not supply all the information in this form, you may not be considered as a tenant for any of the properties we administer.
• You have the right to see the information we hold about you and to correct the information in accordance with the Privacy Act.
• If you do not enter a tenancy agreement with us, this information will not be retained.

I, the applicant, declare that the above information is true and correct, that I have supplied of my own free will and I have read the Privacy Act 1993 statement above. I acknowledge that my personal contents insurance is not covered under the Agent / Landlord insurance policy and understand that it is my responsibility to insure my own personal belongings. I understand that I have been advised by the Agent to ensure my policy covers me for liability. I understand that you as the Agent have collected this information for the purpose of determining whether I am a suitable tenant for the property in particular to check my identification, my ability to care for the property, my character and my creditworthiness. For such purposes, I authorise you to contact the persons named in this application, and to undertake such enquiries and searches (including tenancy database searches) as you consider reasonably necessary. In doing so, I understand that information provided by me may be disclosed to, and further information obtained from, referees named in this application and other relevant third parties. I acknowledge and accept that if this application is denied, the Agent is not legally obliged to provide reasons why. I also consent and understand that should my tenancy be accepted and upon commencement of the tenancy agreement, there may be cause for the Agent to pass my details on to others which may include (but is not limited to) insurance companies, body corporate, contractors, other real estate agents, salespeople and tenancy default databases. I consent to you providing the information in this form and details of any proven breach of tenancy agreement of the Residential Tenancies Act 1986 to any credit bureau or tenant default database, any employer, landlord, WINZ, Power Company or any other person and this information will then be publicly accessible. I agree that you may use any of the information on this form to enforce any judgment in respect of the tenancy agreement or in respect of any order against me made by the Tenancy Tribunal. I, the applicant understand that if my application is successful and I enter into a Tenancy Agreement there is a fee that I must pay to Iron Bridge Real Estate of one weeks rent plus GST.

APPLICATION SUBJECT TO CONSENT

Processing of this application will not commence unless all sections have been completed and relevant documentation provided at the time of submission of the application to Iron Bridge Property Management Ltd.
